Job Summary:

A Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by patrolling, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, and controlling access points. They ensure the protection of property, employees, and visitors from potential threats such as theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol and monitor premises regularly to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.
• Control access to the facility and verify identification of visitors and employees.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems for any unusual activity.
• Respond promptly to security breaches, alarms, or emergencies.
• Conduct security checks at entry and exit points.
• Report suspicious activities, safety hazards, and incidents to the appropriate authorities.
• Assist in crowd control during events or emergencies.
• Enforce company security policies and procedures.
• Write and submit reports on security incidents.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional certification).
• Proven experience as a Security Officer or relevant position.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick decisions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods.
• Familiarity with security systems, CCTV, and alarm monitoring.
• Licensing and certifications may be required depending on local laws (e.g., SIRA license in UAE, PSARA license in India).

Work Environment:

• Indoor and outdoor settings depending on the employer.
• Shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Potential exposure to hazardous situations.

Salary Range:

• Entry-Level: $25,000 – $35,000 per year
• Experienced: $35,000 – $50,000 per year
• Senior Level: $50,000+ per year (varies based on location and industry)
